Being an avid photographer, I was scrolling through Instagram getting inspiration when I stumbled across a video of an artist at work. Watching the liquid transform into a glossy, durable surface was nothing short of magical. That artist was none other than Don Resin, a resin artist installing epoxy floors in Miami. I was mesmerised by the bright pop of colour and seamless application. Realising I was watching a floor transformation and not a piece of artwork to hang on the wall had me then googling “what are resin floors?”…“Resin floors Australia”…“Metallic epoxy floors”.
I did a bit of research and realised no one was doing these types of floors in Australia.
I had reached out to Don, sharing my enthusiasm and dreams, and he invited me to his workshop. I booked my flight. Watching that video changed the course of my life. Don Resin taught me that epoxy is not just about functionality; it’s about creativity and bringing a unique touch to every project.
